I initially applied for "position A" and after reviewing my resume a hiring manager suggested I apply for "position b" - which I did. An interview for position b was scheduled and confirmed. The time for the interview came and the hiring manager never called. After the time-slot of the interview expired I (pretend that I is in bold) sent a follow up email questioning if there were any problems or technical difficulties, and expressed still having an interest in still interviewing for the position. I never heard from this hiring manager again.
