      Initially, the HR team sought me out as a potential candidate. I met with them for a phone screen but there were several issues with coordinating as their online scheduling system did not work properly. While the conversation was pleasant with the HR team, it was a phone screen so discussion was limited. However, the HR twam made it abundantly clear that they would close the loop with me on the interview process whether they decided to continue with another candidate or not. In fact, she indicated that it was very important that they follow up with candidates as it was a show of respect and a reflection of their company policy and approach. I then met with the VP of Operations and felt that the conversation went very well as we ran well over our allotted time (1.5 hours in total) and felt confident that the interview process would continue. However after a few weeks, I heard nothing. I followed up thanking them for their time and would hope to continue the process. Nothing. No response. No follow up. Extremely disappointing and very strange to make it a point that they would never "ghost" a candidate and that is precisely what they did.
