      Colloquio per Managed Services Consultant

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso BAE Systems (Guildford, Inghilterra) nel mese di set 2011

      Colloquio

First interview consisted of a 1:1 with one person and it lasted about 1 hour mainly going through my CV and what I had done in the past and my University education, got through this and was told the next day via email I had a 2nd interview with 2 people and that I needed to prepare a 15 minute presentation on my final year of study at University, this changed to a subject of my choice then the day before back to my final year of study. All of the contact was through their internal recruitment department which were really poor to say the least, left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing syndrome getting an email of a different person every time. Second interview was 2 hours long, with the first 30 minutes being the form of general interview questions. Then it was the presentation, might as well had not bothered as the two guys were totally not interested, they were both techies who had obviously been dragged in last minute to do this interview as they were generally uninterested, rude and quite obnoxious at times during the interview, constantly looking at their watches and reading questions off the sheet they had in front of them. I was told to revise my "technical knowledge" for the interview, which could have been a whole host of different things after 4 years at university and the recruiter refused to elaborate on this when asked. So this turned out to be an hour of intensive questioning about my knowledge of SQL which they got bored of very quickly and cut me off on a number of occasions and actually finished the interview 45 minutes early when it was supposed to be 2 hours. Before the outcome of the decision when I got home that night I wrote an email and complained to recruitment manager which the receptionist very kindly gave me on my way out. She replied and apologised for the two guys as I complained about their overall behaviour that for an interview setting was really bad, rude and very off putting. She told me that the two other guys who were supposed to do it were off sick and they got the other two at the last minute, she was also interested in my comments about the confusion in the recruitment process with me getting told one thing by one person then a completely different thing a day later thus meaning I had to change my presentation 3 times! Only pro is they paid all my travel expenses. Didn't get an offer and I'm quite glad judging the type of people I would be working with especially the northener guy out of the two, can't even begin to describe what a knob he was. Got on offer with another company soon after.
