I had a short phone interview. They send me an interview email. The location was in Sydney Garden Island. So I needed to do induction before the interview. In the interview, they asked me about behavioural and technical questions. I answered all of them perfectly. Although my interview performance was perfect, they did not hire me. They hired an internal candidate. In my opinion, they wanted to hire an internal candidate, because of company policy they advertised this role to the internet. I felt that my time is used for official tick the box exercise to hire the internal candidate. If you are short on time , my advice is to ask the recruiter if there is an internal candidate shortlisted for the role.
