Fintech project and the coding challenge doesnt make any sense. If there reason is testing problem solving then I solved the problem and provided the solution, was not able to run the code due to a null pointer exception which I identified and was fixing while he said time is up, if he gave me 5 mins more it would have run successfully, I tested the code afte the interview. Now if the goal was to test problem solving skill, I completed the solution and yet they said couldnt complete the code. :) Are you kidding me ?? Never have I ever had to manipulate a String in a freaking Fintech Project.

Applied for the job, After a week Received a link to survey to add candidate details again. After 2 weeks request for availability for Business Development Representative Phone screen by Sales Recruiter. Yes you heard it right I received a Business Development Representative Phone screen by Sales Recruiter. I reconfirm the position is for Staff/ Senior Software Engineer and provide my availability. On the day of the technical phone screen, I couldn't receive the call right away since my phone frooze and had to restart and called the receruiter. Recruiter wont receive the call even after 3 tries. Emailed recruiter of the situation & requested additional dates for phone screen who decides to send a reject. What a waste of time trying to fill the survey and get ghosted by the recruiter. Additionally Software engineer screening is by a sales recreuiter. What a joke? Dont recommend applying here unless you just have no option.
