My first interview was about 30 minutes long and directly with the department. They gave more details about the role and asked for my background to see whether my experience and interests align with the position. It seemed to have gone well, as they said I would be a good fit for the team, given my characteristics and experience. The interview was on a Thursday, and I was told to expect a response the next day or the next Monday at the latest, I waited until after that period to send a follow-up email as I did not hear anything back. It has been more than a month since the interview, and still no feedback, which surprised me as I expected them to be at least more professional than that.
