Submitted application online and was soon offered a telephone interview. During the 'prescreen' portion of the interview I was told a shift pattern, then told a start date barely two weeks away from this telephone interview. I told the interviewer that I would have to give 4 weeks notice, and I was then told that I wasn't suitable for the role. Is BT Group/Plusnet not aware of notice periods, and that people will need to give them when switching jobs? It seems foolish (and a waste of everyone's time) to be interviewing candidates within the last 7 days of August for a role that starts within the first week of September. The interview then talked about a careers page, but to be quite honest, I don't think I want to work for a company that doesn't have the foresight to consider an applicants notice period, and also given that Plusnet's reviews on Trustpilot is only 2.3 stars (78% 1 star), why would I want to work for such a badly performing company...
