I was contacted by BairesDev's hiring staff on LinkedIn. I vaguely remember that they explained the job and its requirements and asked me to take online tests available at the applicant's portal. My time was limited, but I answered as many quizzes as possible. However, I wasn't motivated back then and asked the screening staff if I could hold off on the process. They asked if I could be contacted 3 months from then. I agreed. 3 months passed and they re-contacted me. I was asked to go through an online subjective, personality test. After a week or so, I was in a technical online interview. The topics were OAuth 2.0 and Entity Framework. I wasn't acquainted with the former, so I told the interviewer. He then said I wasn't being graded on those, but I should read about it because this was a pre-requisite for the job (which proved true after some months at the hiring company). My former job was so demanding that I couldn't even plan for the screening process at BairesDev, so I asked the recruiter for a second halt. 3 months later, I was re-contacted through a voice call. This time, my former employer "praised" me with a 3% salary increase when the year-on-year inflation had been 6%. So I thought to myself to take the chance this time. The recruiter asked me in Portuguese if he could ask me Maths quizzes, to which I agreed. They turned out to be IQ gauging tests. Then he scheduled another tech interview. A week later, the interviewer asked me to explain what string interpolation was and when we use it. After answering the question, he said he was looking forward to having me as a colleague. One week went by, and another HR staff sent me an email asking about my intended salary expectations. After some rounds of emails, we came to a number. Then one or two weeks later, I was contacted by HR to schedule a 1:1 meeting with my hiring manager. On the scheduled date and time, he didn't show up, so the HR staff apologized and scheduled later another meeting. On the 2nd time, the same thing, the manager didn't show up. I then told the HR analyst that I preferred the manager to schedule a suitable time slot. At the scheduled day, my actual manager showed up and asked what was a singleton and why we use it. After my response, the manager filled in the gaps in my answer, then we bid farewell and hang up. I was hired!
