3-4 week process. Few questions may be asked to test professional knowledge. Documents to prove certification status, college degree status. The pay for all testing re: pre-employment screening, background checks, physical exams. Lots of paperwork.

Took awhile, seemed somewhat disorganized. I applied via craigslist and interviewed at their main office. It went well and I was instructed to get fingerprint scan, TB test, CPR and first aid certification, which they all paid for and had organized well (took only 2 or 3 days to complete all). Then I didn't hear from them for almost 2 months. I then interviewed a second time at one of the site houses (was not told it was going to be a panel interview of all current employees, about a dozen people). I wasn't chosen by the group panel interview but HR said they wanted to find a place for me in the agency, which they did without any further effort on my part. I asked about the gap between interviews afterwards and the HR generalist, who was very nice, said she had just been hired and found my paperwork on her desk when she started, which had been begun by the staff person who had left (so my experience may not be typical in the length of time between interviews).
