Phone screens with recruiter, video interviews with teammates - process as a whole took 2+ months and was painful. I found the direct team to be very appealing, but finally interviewed with a client and very senior executive and didn't get a good impression.

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Barings
Colloquio
HR and recruiters are asleep at the wheel. What a totally unprofessional place. No wonder Barings is an also ran in the AM world. Lesson learned - AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.
Someone in HR pings me about an open position. Not really in the market, but I thought why not see what the market is like. I apply on their website - yes this place asks you to upload your resume and then type out manually your experiences (their ATS is not really accurate so you have to do this). Strike 1.
Then I wait and wait and wait and hear nothing. I ping the recruiter back to inquire about the role he pinged me on. Silence. What a waste of my time and so very unethical. Don't ping to ghost me or have the decency to respond back. We all are busy and it is the right thing to do. Strike 2.
And then one day, the job is not hyperlinked on my application page which I assume to mean that the position is closed or filled. I have yet to even get an email telling me that they have moved on even though on their candidate site I can see my status as "in progress". Clearly HR does not have a clue on how to use Workday. Really simple folks - this can all be automated on Workday and you can systematically send a nice rejection email to inform candidates. Makes for a nice experience. Try it unless Barings is so out of touch with reality and they believe people are knocking down doors to come work for them - which is not true. Strike 3.
Companies that can't even do the basics right (like managing the recruiting process) cannot be trusted to do anything right.

Did not get this far but I did have a qs for them if I talked to them:
Why did you take the name Barings which was a failed fraud ridden company brought down by a rogue trader?
