I recently had a fantastic experience with the interview process at Barratt Developments. The application was straightforward, and I was impressed with how dyslexia and disability-friendly it was. Throughout the process, I was consistently kept informed about the status of my application, which moved forward efficiently. The second step, a video interview, was well-structured with thoughtful questions that delved into my motivations for pursuing a career with Barratt and in the construction field. The third stage involved an interview day at York College, which was incredibly informative and the best interview experience I have had. The day was relaxed yet thorough, providing a deep dive into Barratt's values and a clear outline of what to expect from the 18-month course. The facilities tour highlighted the modern and top-notch resources available, and I appreciated meeting potential tutors and current apprentices. This opportunity to ask questions and interact with staff made me feel at ease and excited about the program. Overall, the entire process was seamless and supportive. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the experience left me eagerly anticipating the start of my apprenticeship in September 2024. Barratt Developments interview process is exemplary, and I look forward to the next 18 months of my carpentry apprenticeship.
