I applied for a position that was in our local classifieds. I sent my portfolio and never heard back. Months later the owner emailed and asked about an interview. I thanked her but declined and said I had recently accepted another job. She kept pressing and asked me to join the team over the course of multiple emails back and forth. We negotiated hours so that I could keep my second part time job, and once I let her know I had sorted my hours, I didn't hear back. I asked if I should put in my two weeks and still, didn't hear anything from BasicGrey. FINALLY I received an email that they wanted me to start the following Monday, which gave my former employer only three days notice. I felt like a jerk for doing that to them. Sadly making the switch was not even worth it.
