I was contacted by the Lead Sourcing Specialist to have a phone interview that would last for 1 hour (ended up lasting for 1 hour and a half). The interviewer seemed nervous and the interview lack of structure, but he was kind of nice and asked easy questions about my background and skills. He tried to convince me I was not going to be able to commute to Basel everyday(even though the team was located abroad), then why do you ask???? In the middle of the interview, he told me that I should prepare a business case explaining a project I was involved in ("to see my English writing skills") and gave me a 2 days deadline to complete it. He also asked me to send him my availability for a second interview with HR for the following 2 weeks. I took the time to prepare the document and sent him everything as requested. He immediately answered my email saying they would go through my case and send me a confirmation for the next interview. After that, he ghosted me for almost 3 weeks, when I received an AUTOMATIC (yes, automatic) message saying my application has been rejected (no reasons given). This was a waste of time for me, to prepare for the interview, to talk with the interviewer for almost 2 hours, to prepare a business case for 2 days and to provide availability for a future (non-existent) interview. This will miss my talent because I won't apply to this company ever again.
