      Colloquio per Accounting Associate

      Offerta accettata
      Esperienza positiva
      Colloquio facile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Bench Accounting (Vancouver, BC) nel mese di nov 2017

      Colloquio

Round 1: Applied Online to be Selected Round 2: Phone Interview Round 3: Interview at the Office Round 4: Assignment The interview and application process was very simple but I declined the offer because the pay is way to low where it started at around $33,000 and after pass probation it will increase to $35,0000. The experience Bench could provide will be great for any students interning or on a co-op but in terms on long-term career there does not seem to much of internal or external growth say if you worked there for 2+ years. If you are a new graduate from one of the universities, you're better off starting off as an accounting clerk (ex: very basic A/R and A/P role) in a corporation if you did not succeed in public accounting recruitment season. I am able to imagine the appeal of the so called "start-up" culture Bench offers since you get to work with a bunch of people similar in age range but what is next? Which is I why I decline my offer since the salary is way too low and I don't see long-term growth in skills where it will help me within in the organization or external to the organization. I am do your research, I am so surprised by the background on Linkedin on many associate working here with degrees from UBC Sauder or SFU Beedie. The interviewer really tried to sell the "start-up" experience but I am not drinking that kool-aid

      - a few levels of interviews, first an introduction call, then they sent over a take home task, and then an interview with two people - one take home task, but it was fairly easy

Very easy back in 2023. Meet one of HRs, then a manager and a team lead from fellow team to see if you fit! Then you get accepted an wait for a few weeks for on boarding

Behavioural interview with HR, technical component testing basic excel skills, meeting with team lead. HR was very helpful and sent over powerpoint slides with details regarding the different steps in the interview process

Why Bench? Name a time you failed to meet a goal, and what did you take away from that experience?
