      When I first talked to the recruiter I wasn’t a good fit for the original position because I didn’t have the experience, which is fine. He let me know another position would be opening up and the team thought I would be a great fit for it. I waited close to three months for it to open up and I was one of the first people he called. They were all excited for me to interview. I interviewed with the hiring manager in a couple of days from the phone call. Both him and my recruiter were awesome. I got the call that I was being passed up because someone was found that had a bit more experience. I understand that as well but I felt like it was a wash for me. I was really excited for the entire process and hopefully working at the company. It wasn’t a awful experience and I appreciate the feedback. The only thing that was bad was the long time I waited and then to be let go after the first interview.

      We are so sorry that you did not receive an update sooner. It is absolutely our goal and best practice to get back to every candidate in a timely manner. We do send final touches from our applicant tracking system, and that could sometimes land in the Spam Folder as we've noticed with several of our candidates.       The interview process took nearly two months and it was all over the place. I had multiple recruiters telling me different information on how many interview rounds I would go through and one interview was scheduled to be virtual but ended up being in person, which required me to travel out of state to meet with the executive for a CSM role I would have been working in NYC for. Fortunately I enjoyed talking to each individual I had an interview with but the amount of time and energy I spent preparing, researching, and actually interviewing was the most extensive I’ve been through. The hiring manager took a vested interest in me and even prepared me for the final interview with the co-founder. This stage felt unnecessary as this position was not a leadership or people leading role and could have ended with the 5th round. Ultimately I did not receive an offer, which was very shocking as each interview I felt like I could not have done anything differently to prepare, research and practice potential questions. For future recommendations I would cut this interview process down to 3-4 stages as this is more the norm and have a faster timeline as to respect the candidates time and efforts.

      I had a really great and pleasant Interview during the preliminary stages. I was even sent a calendar invitation to add my availability for the next stage. After I gave my availability, I was completely ghosted. I sent a follow up email but no response. It was the most bizarre and disappointing experience I’ve ever had. This has never happened to me before in all the years I’ve worked In this industry. Perhaps I was ghosted because I mentioned I was a woman of colour and Neurodivergent.
