The interview process was mostly the same as other software companies, except for a few particular things that I didn't expect. What was the same was that I interviewed with engineers and managers, who asked me coding questions and other questions.
What I didn't expect: With most companies, you spend a single long day in a conference room, taking several hours to churn through multiple interviewers, and you get it all over with at once. BitTitan was different. I was only asked to come into the office for an hour at a time, mostly just to see one person or perhaps two. The catch was that I had to come into the office, just for that hour, more than once.
Each time I was invited back for the next stage of the interview process, it was several days (or more) later. So the overall interview process took a long time, more than a month in my particular case, though the overall length was partially my fault because I was on a vacation for part of the time. Still, at times, I wasn't sure if they were interested in hiring me because of the long waits. However, my patience was rewarded and I was eventually hired.
BitTitan likes automation and web-based services. There was a certain amount of online pre-checking, such as an online coding test and email questions, both before and after the in-person interviews. When the time came to get hired, most of the hiring paperwork was completed online using DocuSign. Since I also have a love for software automation, I found this to be very refreshing, and a very positive experience.
