One of the most appalling processes I've been through in ten years. I applied initially through a posting that didn't list the company, and was contacted by a recruiter who said they were trying to replace their current employee with this title who was "checked out". After we spoke, he told me I'd hear back from the hiring manager. I was then ghosted for two months despite repeated contact efforts. The position was then reposted two months later. I applied again for a laugh, and was contacted by the same recruiter. Probably embarrassed, he didn't speak to me but merely moved me to the next step. I went through a 4-5 round interview process meeting various members of the team... And then was ghosted yet again. I repeatedly contacted the recruiter a month later following the final interview with C-suite to find out I was not selected. His explanation was "someone else was working on the listing not me". I mean, why even bother? Ardent disrespect and a total waste of time.
