I applied for the employee operations intern in Bloomberg Hong Kong. The internship was more about dealing with front-line customer service. The first interview was done on their assessment website. There are 6 Question, each question has 30 seconds to prepare and 90 seconds to answer.

Describe the situation, the steps you took, and the outcome. Q5 Can you tell us about a time where you have had to collaborate with other teams to deliver on an objective / project. What was your role, how did you work with others and what was the outcome? Q6 Tell us about a time you were unable to meet tight/conflicting deadlines for different tasks. How did you deal with it?

Got the selective one-way video interview for News 2026. The question format caught me by surprise. It is not a way for them to get to know you -- you need to be prepped to give your answer as soon as you click in. There is no waiting or prep/time: you read the question and then have to start speaking.

Not technical in the first rounds - completely about your motivations. You also need to be very aware of what product offerings they have. There was a language interview to check that you can speak the language.
