Interesting discussion with supervisor and direct coworker. Went well and I enjoyed learning about their processes and how they intended on applying their models. Technically they were primarily interested in specific approaches I had been able to apply and what programs/tangible projects I had worked on in the past. Projects were there, but ultimately they were focused on a candidate with 3+ years experience.

I had a thirty minute phone screen before moving onto the technical interview. There were a lot of hoops to jump through including an essay question. The recruiter was not very responsive. The interview was online for around five hours total, including a one hour presentation. A few behavioral questions and many technical questions in five separate one-on-one meetings about a variety of topics: controls, system modeling, compressible and incompressible fluid flow. I never heard back after the interview and overall it seemed like a massive waste of time for both myself and the team that interviewed me. They should have been able to screen me out in the initial thirty minute phone call.
