The recruiters who set up the interview were nice and prompt for the most part, except for when they forgot to reply to me about BO's availability for the time slots I was available. BO seems to use very attractive contractors to reach out to people on LinkedIn. My 1st phone interview was with a member of the team I'd be joining. I thought it would be a phone screen, but it was an extremely technical interview. The Senior Engineer who conducted the interview peppered me with technical questions that could easily be found in a textbook but which he expected me to know by heart. I was asked to prepare a presentation for the 2nd round interview, which I did in the requested format. However, none of the interviewers seemed interested in anything I presented. After cutting my presentation short, the next 2 hours was 1 person after another yelling highly technical questions at me & then cutting me off when I tried to reply. Everyone I spoke with came across as not having a good day. Their offices looked dull, spartan, & depressing. I found the 2 interviews (especially the 2nd) unprofessional and disrespectful at the least. The manager told me he works 60 to 70 hour weeks. The funny thing is I was promoted to his job in my organization after this interview and I think 49 hours is the max I've hit since. I'd say I dodged a bullet. I was so turned off by the experience that I've turned down opportunities with BO since.
