Had a brief phone interview after I applied. Was then given a short coding assignment to complete at home. Turned that in and was then invited to an on-site interview.
The interview involved the typical questions one may expect. They were interested in my experience and had some behavioral questions. I also asked questions along the way and it became more of a discussion rather than some intense interview. One of the programmers was interested in why I was applying for the job with a degree in computer science. I thought this was a little strange as the position required the applicant to have one. I started to feel like he/they were concerned that I would almost be bored in the job as the position was advertised as a lot of front end work. Told them I actually enjoyed using React and that I was excited to do front end work. A lot of my personal projects were even done using React so I was confused why they were worried.
Was told a few days later that I was no longer being considered for the position. Then saw the same job being advertised again with the requirement of at least a B.S. degree in computer science.
