I was interviewed for the Project Manager position through an online interview process. A couple of hours after the interview, I received a call from the recruiter informing me that I had cleared the round and that the next interview would be scheduled. Based on my availability, the next round was arranged, and I also received the interview invitation.
However, within a few minutes, the scheduled interview was suddenly cancelled. The recruiter then called me again and stated that they had just received the complete feedback from the interviewer and that my profile had not been shortlisted.
I was completely shocked by the way this situation was handled. Communicating a successful outcome first and then reversing the decision shortly after reflects a lack of professionalism and proper hiring ethics.
