I was contacted directly by an employee that I would be a great fit. When I arrived at the office, nobody was around to help me, and I had to flag down someone, who didn't happen to know anything about the interviews. I spoke with 5 people, 2 of which are the co-founders, along with the person who had contacted me. The interview questions were pretty simple, mostly related to text manipulation using Python, or pulling parts of text logs out using regex. 2 of the 5 people I didn't feel had a very good grasp on testing, and seemed to have a hard time coming up with questions. It felt like the interviews were very spontaneous and not planned for ahead of time. One of the employees let me in that "this place will ask you to come in on weekends very frequently. It's not included in your paycheck, but it's to help make better products. Are you okay with this? The employee who had contacted me also happened to come off very judgmental for seemingly odd things. Part of this may be a culture clash, as the majority of the staff is Indian, and I am not. But it seemed odd that he reached out to someone, only to act standoffish to them. I was not contacted with either an acceptance or a rejection. I just was left in the dark. It feels like I've dodged a bullet.
