      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Bobit Business Media (Miami, FL) nel mese di mar 2022

      Colloquio

The interview process was very standard for a director role. I spoke to a recruiter and then had to do an online interview of recorded answers. Pretty cold and to the point. I then had online interviews with their CRO and a customer service director, whom were both personable and engaging. I had a call with their CEO, who was also very pleasant and happy to answer questions. I was called by the recruiter again and told that it was between myself and another applicant, and that I should discuss salary. I happily did so because we were already two weeks into the process and I felt like I was a great fit for the role and that I had a good repertoire with the team. I then got a call from their HR department and that's when we entered the RED FLAG level of this interview process. I was told to fill out their application online. I did. It was by far the most-invasive application process I have ever encountered. Also, their platform is antiquated and clunky, and definitely not mobile friendly. 🚩 They need to know the salary you earned at every stage of your professional career. 🚩 EVERY. SALARY. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 They need to know what was base pay and what was bonus pay. 🚩 If you miss one, their HR person will call you and demand it. It's extremely uncomfortable and invasive. I thought this was illegal in California, but I wanted this role, so I complied. They ask you to give a detailed response for every small gap between careers. 🚩 I noted a couple of months gap where I moved my entire family and my husband's business to another county and needed the time to settle in. That was not enough. The HR person called me and needed me to put in writing if I was working or not. 🚩 Bizarre and again, strangely invasive. They ask for the contact number for every supervisor you've ever had. 🚩 They ask for your current supervisor's contact information. 🚩 They tell you they're going to contact your current supervisor once you sign the offer. 🚩 Why do they need to speak to my supervisor once I decide to leave the role? Does not a standard background check and a confirmation of employment suffice for their unhinged HR department? Apparently not. After a few rounds of GIVE ME YOUR ENTIRE HISTORY with their HR Department, I was fairly over it. I wanted the job, but I was already extremely uncomfortable. Did I want to work for this company with this kind of recruiting process? But then, it got infinitely more bananas. I get a call from an "unknown" number on a Friday after 5 pm EST. I don't answer bc I'm driving. Their CRO leaves me a message and a number to return his call. I call him and he offers me the position. I'm excited. He offers me less than what I currently make. 🚩 I'm confused. I explain that I don't want to make a lateral move and that I discussed the salary at length during the recruitment process, even asking for the budget for the role. He tells me that if I take the role at their salary, that there will be a "future" bonus incentive package. 🚩 And that I can make lots of money in the "future". 🚩 He then states that he cannot commit to details because the future bonus plan they're offering doesn't exist yet. 🚩 I suggest a new salary. He says he will go back with my number and get back to me after the weekend. I never hear back from them again. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 They offered me a position and then ghosted me. 🚩 I emailed their invasive and unhinged HR department and they also ghosted me. 🚩 The only one who could confirm that they had decided not to give me the job was the recruiter, who was also confused at the miscommunication in salary and budget. They wasted two weeks of my time. 🚩 They didn't convey accurate salary to their recruiter. 🚩 They made an offer and lowballed the salary based on their invasive application process. 🚩 They cannot be bothered to communicate with you after making you an offer that they want to hire someone at a very low salary for a director role? Unprofessional and indicative of how this company operates. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 Hot mess.

      Domande di colloquio [2]

      Domanda 1

Your salary history for TWO DECADES. Why do they need to know how much money I made in 2004? Invasive.

      Domanda 2

They want your former supervisors' contact info and your current supervisor's contact info. Even better, they want to contact your current supervisor of you sign their offer. Why do they need to speak to your current supervisor AFTER you decide to leave their employ? Invasive.
