Recruiter was very professional and seemed seasoned. I agreed with the conditions and the first part of the interview was through. The next question asked what were my salary expectations. I answered I was yet able to give an accurate number because i have yet to get a clear view on payment structure. I asked him if his supervisor gave him a budget, He said he wasn't given a budget. I read the average salary for this position according to salary.com & glassdoor and put $6000 below the average yearly salary. The interviewer sounds offended says that is too much for this position. I tell him I am just reading the data available, he tells me I might hear from another team member then a couple hours after hanging up I get an email stating I was not selected.
