Before moving to the interview stage, there was a technical coding section in partnership with CodeSignal. They asked 4 questions, and 3 of them were quite difficult. I was not even able to fully complete the last one.
Also, from what I understood, CodeSignal does not really evaluate syntax errors separately. It mainly looks at how many points you score. So my suggestion is to focus on getting as many points as possible, even if the solution is not perfect.
