Based in NY, NY so entire interview process was over the phone or via video chat. 1. HR Phone Screening (30 mins): Standard questions- Why Brilliant Earth? Why this role? What are your salary expectations? What is your ideal work environment? Asked questions about my internship and previous work experience-- asked specifically what the work flow was like (not sure what they wanted to hear from that). What analytical tools have you used before (i.e. Google Analytics, etc.)? Is there anything you'd change to the website now? 2. Hiring Manager Phone Interview (1 hr)- What does Beyond Conflict mean to you? Why Brilliant Earth? Are there any concerns you might have about the role and the work the team does? Is there anything you'd change to the website now? What is an example of a company or website that has a good e-commerce checkout process? Behavioral questions- tell me about a time you used data, etc. 3. Final round video conference interview (2 hrs total)- 45 mins with the VP of Marketing discussing past work experience and internships, 30 mins doing two exercises with the VP and hiring manager- emailed a mock up of the home page and asked me to discuss what doesn't look right visually as well as the content, did a case asking me to calculate cost of conversion given some information by hand (numbers are easy to work with, don't overthink it), 30 mins with another online product marketing associate on the team doing another exercise discussing a mockup of a product page to discuss what changes I'd make. All interviewers asked why Brilliant Earth? And they're looking for people who are motivated, able to work independently, and want to stay and grow with the company.
