Colloquio
After successfully passing the online assessment I was invited to an Assesment day at the BA hq in London Heathrow.
The Assesment day started at 12pm and I arrived just after 11pm and there were already people arriving and queuing up to have their documents checked.
After having my documents checked I went with a small group to have my height measured, do a reach test and sit in the safety harness seat. Some people were sent home at this point as they were too short! It's really important that you are the minimum of 5ft 2 without heels and able to have an arm reach length to 5ft 7. If you know you don't meet this requirement then I wouldn't attend the AD to avoid disappointment.
We had a presentation on BA, they talk about the company,salary, rosters, training etc. You will have a chance to ask questions at the end.
I then had a role play with an assessor who pretended to be an angry customer ( they want to see how you would handle the situation and how you react) and then I had to read out a PA - Be confident and clear when talking and make eye contact.
Next was the group Assesment, there were 5 of us and we were given a situation where the Cabin crew have to purchase emergency supplies for the aircraft and have a budget, your given a list of things to choose from. Don't speak over people or take over the task as they want to see how you work well within a team.
We all waited around and then were called up and split into two groups, my group went into a room and was told we had made it through to the final interview (only 10 of us made it and the other 22 were sent home). It was like X factor!!
I was surprised that some people didn't make it as they came across as very friendly, confident and sociable.
I then had my final 2:1 competency interview which was relaxed and the assessors were very friendly and talked through how they will conduct the interview. Make sure you thoroughly prepare for this interview and be prepared for any customer service related questions and just be yourself. I thought I prepared myself but not well enough so I slipped up in a few questions! : (
Two days later I was told I was unsuccessful by email. I understand why I didn't make it so I'm going to prepare better next time and will reapply in 6 months : )

Easy and friendly people. Did an online interior. Breakout rooms for one on one sections. Asked to read a sheet then asked questions about my experience. How I have handled previous situations. Used star formula went very well.

A long day, but assessors helped us feel at ease throught the process. The two interviewers had different styles which helped the interview flow. The wait for an offer was the most nerve-racking part.

Firstly we did get right to work checked and arm reach check. Then we were separated into few groups and did group interview. Then the selected candidates were called for role play, reading PA script and one to two interview.
