I was extremely impressed with the job interview. I applied online, and was then invited to complete some psychometric tests. I was convinced I’d be unsuccessful due to not having enough time to complete them, however they must be looking for quality, not quantity. So don’t worry too much. A few weeks later, I was invited to an assessment day at Heathrow. There were quite a lot of people, at least 30 - therefore getting everything completed took a bit longer than expected. However the staff were lovely, and so were the interviewers themselves. There’s a lot of sitting around, but that does give you the chance to chat with your potential colleagues and pig out on the free coffee and biscuits! First of all you are all called into a room, where you’ll be explained the duties of the job, and to complete a short mathematics test. Then you’ll go back out and will have the opportunity to speak to some current staff members, who are not there to interview you but there for everything you need. Following this, you will complete two role plays one-on-one after preparing for them on a piece of paper. Then you’ll be called for the main interview. After this you’ll be waiting around a bit, but then they’ll soon let you know whether you have passed the first round by calling out your name. If you pass, you will be invited to complete another mathematics test (do not rush to complete it all, quality before quantity), and then finally you’ll be tested on language skills if a requirement of the job. I heard back just over a week later.
