I was ghosted. I applied for a role that was a little junior, but a role I had a ton of experience within the same industry, so it would be a very easy transition. I was genuinely interested in the company, so the title and salary were less important to me. Had a great call with the Senior Leader whose team this is, then met two teammates. Had a great call with them. We jived, we laughed, we had rapport. I know my answers to their questions were solid, as I seriously have a ton of relevant and related experience to offer. After that, I never heard from them again. I sent some thoughtful emails afterward, thanking them for their time, reaffirming my interest in the role. I even followed up with the Senior Leader- nothing- silence. I would expect them to at least close the loop. I really don’t understand how you can treat your candidates that way. Such a shame. I really admired this company, prior to this experience. It’s not that hard to tell someone one way or another, it literally takes two minutes.
