Posted on hackajob. Recruiter reached out. Told them my compensation requirements. Scheduled a first interview with the hiring manager. Got an "horray you passed the first interview with the manager" email from HR before the first interview with the manager actually happened. The email said that the manager interview went really well so they wanted me to take some assessments. I held off on taking these until the actual interview. Manager interview went well, and then I took the timed aptitude tests. I assume that I failed those. HR asked me to take the aptitude test a second time. After I completed it I got the denial email. So I didn't get to go to the technical interview. Whatever. I drank a cold beer while doing it the second time anyway. It is silly to place so much value on identifying patterns with 4 letter combinations in a rushed period of time.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. I got a call from their HR for a phone screen. The onsite interview was pretty straightforward. The hiring manager was friendly, as well as other colleges.
