Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso C3 AI (Redwood City, CA) nel mese di feb 2019
Colloquio
Met first with the CMO, then had 1:1 interviews with the rest of the marketing org, all of which went well. Met with the CMO and CEO in final round.
Final meeting with CEO is a disaster. He seemed focused less on gauging fit than seeing how quickly he could knock me off balance. For example, he asked questions that were unrelated, or tangentially related to my discipline. When I struggled to answer, he responded by silently staring at me. He had zero desire for any sort of human connection.
He was also distracted and actually left the room for several minutes partway through the interview.
He’s obviously smart and successful, but came across as ruthless. Lives up to his reputation as demanding, exacting, and highly competitive.
He also had Glassdoor open on his computer during the interview, and I’ve heard he cares deeply about C3’s image here. I’ve also heard he coerces positive reviews.
Some people thrive under that style of leadership. Not me. I bowed out before I could be rejected, but I’m sure I would have been.
Before you speak to anyone they ask you to submit a written work example. Then a quick 30 min with the hiring manager and then another long written assignment. This is too much to ask without even speaking to a recruiter
After two months of active conversations, assignments and positive feedback, I was informed that the hiring process was being handed over to a recruitment firm and I would no longer be in the running.

Colloquio
Typical process, recruiter phone call, hiring manager, team interview, nice people. Beyond obvious CEO was a micromanager, his way or the high way, working in the office is mandatory. Work, life, balance was questionable.
