Was approached by the company and invited to apply. The process consisted of a series of interviews, not only with the cofounders, but also with other team members which gave me a feel for the company and how they work. We also had frank discussions about what they needed and how I could help overcome these challenges. It also included a short (90 min) code challenge and a technical interview that touched on design patterns, development strategies and my capability to solve problems. Overall, the process was pleasant, straight forward and clear.
