I applied online. The recruiter reached out. We had a very good conversation which lasted 30 minutes. I went into detail about my project management experience. After that, the recruiter scheduled a Zoom interview with two of their senior leaders. On the day of the interview, I showed up. I waited and waited. The full thirty minutes elapsed without anybody showing up. Not the recruiter. Not the senior staff. I emailed the recruiter asking if everything was alright, and if they needed to reschedule. No response. I emailed a few days later. No response. One week after being ghosted on an interview, I got a form rejection letter saying the role had been filled. Needless to say, I had very high hopes for the role. I believe I would have been an excellent fit. Unfortunately, the recruiter had been completely unprofessional and disingenuous. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth regarding CBRE. Allowing candidates to waste thirty minutes on a Zoom call and zero follow-through is downright disrespectful.
