First interview was with the HR manager over the phone. He asked basic questions; tell me about yourself, why you apply here, how this role is relevant to you, etc? After a week, I received an email from HR for a second round with the portfolio' Marketing Manager over Teams. She was reading and asking questions and going from line to line. It was a strange experience, as I could sense through the video that she was not interested at all.

The interview process was smooth and straightforward, with the HR representative asking the expected questions and painting a positive picture of my company, and my future supervisor and manager adding to it. The question that sticks out at me is my now-manager asking where I wanted to be in five years and appearing to genuinely care about the answer. My now-supervisor appeared as happy to meet me as I was to meet him. Onboarding was time-consuming but thorough, with no actual work assigned for the first two weeks because my new colleagues knew I would be spending a lot of time in meetings and making my way through 40-page manuals.
