I applied online, and 2 weeks later had an interview in Birmingham. The next step was a logical reasoning test, which was pretty standard. For some reason, I didn't have a phone interview, which I believe most people did. The interview itself consisted of 2 parts- an individual interview and a group exercise. The individual interview was 1-1 and competency based, and some questions were: Why CGI? Who are our main competitors? + what can we learn from them? Why this job role? Examples of solving problems, negative experience, setting ambitious target, setting a deadline. The interviewer was very friendly, and it lasted about 35 minutes, plus I spent another 10 minutes asking my own questions. The group exercise involved imagining that you were stranded on a desert island, and could only take 8 items out of a list of 30. In a group of 3, we had to agree on which to take, and present to 3-4 CGI staff. BEWARE: with about 5 minutes of the discussion time, they cut the number of items from 8 to 6, so you had to cut 2 more items.
