HR person phoned and had a conversation regarding why i'm looking, what i can offer and am expecting salary-wise. He seemed interested and said that next steps will be meeting with the Director. (HR person seemed very keen and a little too enthusiastic) . That interview came within a few days after the phone call. The in person interview went quite well. i showed him same work samples and he asked about my education and work experience. He wanted me to then see a Senior Consultant (my "buddy" who i was be reporting to and he would be my mentor). Again, that second interview came within a few days after the first one. The third interview went well. The senior consultant looked through my work and asked me some questions about them and asked me what i want from the job. within a couple of day, i was given the offer. i considered overnight and verbally replied the day after. The signing of the contract was perhaps a week later? something like that...
