I got an interview when there was no job opening! I got an interview by sending my resume to someone important in LinkedIn. Every thing got well and they told me, that they were happy with me right after the interview. But, the interview was on November 2015 and I am still waiting for projects to start so they will call me to start my job!

Applied online and it took about 3 weeks to get an call from HR. Did an initial interview with HR which lasted about an hour. Asked basic questions about experience, why I wanted the position. Then there a selection process of top 8 candidates to do a phone interview with hiring manager that was 2 weeks later. The hiring manager interview was a casual conversation that lasted about an hour. Similar questions to HR: why you want this position, you experience with certain projects, what do you know about the company. Then top 3 candidates selected (about 2 weeks later) for in person interview.
