I was contacted by a corporate recruiter from Superior (CSI's parent company) only a day or two after I submitted my resume online. He was asked a lot of questions about my experience and was very thorough in reviewing the details of my answers. I spent roughly 1.5 hours on the phone during this initial interview. I was contacted again by the recruiter within 24-48 hours by phone where he briefly verified again that I had certain capabilities before letting me know that he was recommending me for an on-site interview with the hiring manager.
I met with the hiring manager a few days later. There weren't too many questions, just some standard ones like how I handle conflict, what are my expectations, etc. He gave me basic description of laboratory operations and walked me through the lab. I thought it was odd that there really wasn't anyone in the lab and there didn't seem to be much work happening. We returned to his office and we discussed what I needed in the way of compensation. I felt like I had the job at that point and it felt a little too easy. A few days later I was contacted by HR (from their sister company Wild Well Control) with an offer. I asked for the top of the pay scale for that position and I got it. (I said I couldn't take anything less.) I started a week or so later.
