Colloquio
Initial phone-screening call, followed by a technical round and team chat, which involves problem-solving, LeetCode, easy to medium. Be sure to have clarity in the thinking process and explain the approach to the interviewer, and then start coding.

I saw a job for a senior software engineer on PA CareerLink, PA's job search site. I couldn't find the job posted anywhere else, and the job listing was incredibly bare-bones. I emailed a given email, and got a phone call a day later. The person doing the phone screening didn't seem to listen to me at all when I spoke or even have read my resume, and that plus the lack of a job on their company website or LinkedIn should have been a waving red flag. When I asked what the job entailed, since the PA CareerLink description was very barebones, he said this posting was just a legal requirement because they had a person applying for legal residency and by law the company had to post a job listing and interview US citizen candidates. What a joke. I stopped him right there, said that's a pet peeve of mine, no thanks. He reiterated this was a legal requirement and hung up, didn't even thank me for my time. I do not recommend interviewing with this company because of this experience!! This is why the job market sucks and candidates are mad, this was such a not okay thing to do.

Typical recruiter screening up until I got to asking what the job entailed.

Their job postings are done by an external staffing agency, who are very annoying in the sense they constantly pester you and treat you like a teenage kid never gone through interview process. The company is all smoke and mirrors and is only surviving because of the cable modem industry. They do have some decent staff. But they have a tie up with the contracting firm and rather not hire full time. Being hired as a contractor is risky as you are not permanent and can be more easily flushed at will. They claim they are a R&D lab, but having no publication in peer reviewed journals etc. Got the sense that there is lot of politics going on in the background through the interview process but they keep a nice face(apperance on the top). I would be careful of working for them.

HR asked like they are now forced to ask: What are your views on DEI?
