Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Canonical (Lisbona, Lisbona) nel mese di mar 2023
Colloquio
Complete kafkaesque experience. The whole process took over two months, and involved inumerous stages:
- submitting cv and cover letter
- massive written interview with tons of questions
- psychometric test (thomas assessment)
- technical assessment (take home code challenge)
- 3 technical interviews (early interview phase)
I was rejected after the 3 technical interviews with no feedback and a condescending template email stating that they could not "provide specific feedback to you, or indeed offer any career advice". If accepted at this stage, I would still need to have some additional interviews with senior management.
During the process I was assigned a "hiring lead" who communicated with me through email, and was responsible for moving the process forward. However, he would often take several weeks between each stage and not respond to emails, which partially caused the hiring process to take over two months (the other being the inumerous interview stages).
In conclusion, don't recommend, you will waste months of your life and not even get proper closure. Something is very wrong with this company, I read some reviews here where candidates do get to end of the hiring process, receive an offer, accept it, submit their notice period to their current employer, and then got the offer from canonical rescinded.

Domanda 1
What design patterns have you used?
Can you explain unit testing?
It's an extremely long process that includes standardized tests, take home assignments, and several rounds of interviews. It was at least 5 rounds long and you interview across different teams.

They have a really long, tiring interview process. The first round was a written interview where I had to answer like 15 questions. Then a coding interview with 1 hour time that I could do anytime for 2 weeks. Then I had to take a personality test and they totally ghosted me.
The first round is a bunch of questions like 30 or so where you have to describe your expierence, personal and academical information. Then there is a asynch technical interview and a psychology test.
