There was a initial 15 min phone interview, 3 weeks later a face to face interview was arrange with the communication that it would probably only be one interview but if I passed i might get a second interview on the day Instead there was 2 face to face interviews and a case study presentation (with minimal prep time, 10 mins) The first two interviews were more casual, confirming the CV experience and behavior questions The case study interview was run by a program manager and was adversarial in nature right from walking in the door, with him making invalid statements about my CV to see how I would react, telling me how much experience he had and then trying to downgrade my experience and being sarcastic. Was told I would have a answer by the end of the week by the interviewers, however was eventually called the beginning of next week was told that the interviewers should not have promised this. The final feedback from the person who headhunted me for the interview she was very professional and had a lot of emotional intelligence. From my years of experience it is very easy to identify A grade managers who would do well in the Partner or C level grade from just how the handle giving difficult messages I gave my thoughts on this interview process and was told that the case study was meant to be a case study interview by one of their senior programmers directors not a behavioral test This leads me to conclude that this individual programme director who is senior in the company is was attempting to find reactions that could be used to manipulate and was trying find someone to degrade to make himself better, this is not to say I did not bomb my case interview ( felt that I had) Maybe if it was a different person doing that case study, I would have been more positive, there are however was a clear indication that the program manger interviewing was someone I would have trouble working for as I prefer to mentor my team and never belittle even candidates as it destroys trust and collaboration
