Colloquio per Senior Data Analytics Consultant

      9 gen 2024
      Candidato anonimo a colloquio
      Londra, Inghilterra
      Nessuna offerta
      Esperienza negativa
      Colloquio facile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Capco (Londra, Inghilterra) nel mese di dic 2023

      Colloquio

      1) Called by Capco recruiter for informal screening/ vetting (30 mins) 2) General competency and experience oriented questions with Principal consultant (1 Hour) 3) 30/40 min Case study, followed by feedback and questions with Managing Principal (1 Hour) 4) Informal coffee/ chat with partner to iron out any last bits (30 mins) 1) Went well, general chit chat on salary expectations, touched on experience, why I was interested in role. Received confirmation that I progressed to the next stage the following day. 2) Interviewer failed to turn up to virtual interview with no explanation; annoying and waste of time. Was rescheduled to a week later with someone else. This chat went well, was positive and I gave the interviewer a sense that I had a firm grasp on what the role entailed and could demonstrate examples of how I could deliver in it. It ended 40 minutes in as we both had what we needed. Received confirmation that I progressed to the next stage the following day. 3) Very friendly, quick initial introductions and then straight down to business with the case study. Interviewer explained the format (see interview questions for details), shared their screen with a slide of all case study details. I took a screenshot and asked a few questions but there wasn't any more significant helpful details to dig out. Was given 20 minutes to prepare some slides to provide a solution to case study. I had a standard consulting slide deck template to hand which I edited to fit the case study, put it in a standard RFP format and delivered back to the interviewer as though they were the client. They fired back a few contextual questions to poke some holes and grille the solution a bit. Afterwards we had a bit of reflection where I explained that I didn't get to cover everything, understandably as there were only 20 mins to prepare. I elaborated on what I would have done if I had the time, to which the interviwer was understanding and acknowledged the point of the case study is not to ensure everything is covered off in detail, they just want to ascertain if a candidate has the right thinking and approach in these scenarios, which I luckily did thanks to my experience with RFPs at other consulting firms. Ghosted from this point. I feel I did well with the case study, delivered a robust solution on a tidy deck, wasn't stumped with any questions and built a positive rapport with everyone I interacted with at the firm. It's very disappointingly unprofessional, that in over a month they haven't been in touch with an update or any feedback, despite a chase-up via email and LinkedIn message. The ghosting after Stage 3, along with an interviewer not turning up to stage 2 has left a bad taste in my mouth.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

Case outline Your client is a large retail FX broker who wants to: * Predict what customers will leave the service and not renew their subscription at the end of the month * Reach out to those whose engagement has dropped. 3 Questions Question 1: Explain what approach would you take on your first week on the project? Question 2: Explain at a high level a solution would you propose the client use to address their problem? And what team members you would recruit deliver it? You are the lead project manager in your Capco team. You are tasked to advise them on how to approach this by inspecting the data they have available. A customer joins on a rolling monthly contract, and they can choose to auto renew or re-subscribe manually at the end of every month. A customer is considered to have left the service if there is no renewal of subscription 30 days after the expiry of the previous subscription. You will be presenting your response back to the Client Relations Business Stakeholder and a member of their data analytics team.

Thank you for your detailed review and the time you have invested in our hiring process. Our aim is always to deliver a first-class candidate experience and it sounds like on this occasion we did not meet our usual high standards. Unfortunately, on occasion, hiring demand can change during the hiring process based on client and business needs. In these instances we always strive to be transparent and maintain an open dialogue with a candidate. We invite you to contact James McClure (james.mcclure@capco.com) in our recruitment team if you would like to discuss your feedback further and so that we can look into this further.
