      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Cape Cod Commission

      Colloquio

I received a phone call to schedule a one-hour video interview. The interview itself was great. They asked me many typical interview questions, but it felt like a conversation. I found the job description so interesting that I could have spent 15 minutes beyond the allocated time to ask more questions, but I stopped myself. The interviewers seemed nice. I left feeling like it was a great combination of job duties and geographic location, I would do well, and it was a good opportunity. I was told they expected to finish first-round interviews the following week, and in some fairness, I was warned that they weren't in a rush and wanted to hire the right person. I followed up with the HR representative three weeks later after receiving no update, and to my disappointment was told they had just finished first-round interviews. Almost six weeks later, I've still received no update. An illness seems to have swept through Massachusetts employers, and that illness is called "ghosting". I've interviewed for many jobs during the past several months, and the only companies that have ghosted me are the four Massachusetts employers. All other employers have updated me after an interview. I just wonder if a contagious disregard for interviewees has spread in this state like a bad virus we should all find a vaccine for. I'm still very interested in this position and would consider doing a second interview, but I'm guessing I won't get a call. It would be nice to have official closure if they didn't choose me.
