Applied at the beginning of January 2016 for the April 2016 intake. This involved online questions and a brief explanation of my skills and suitability for the role. Next step was competency based questions ordering potential scenarios that one may face. A week later I was then asked to complete a phone interview. Interviewer was friendly and asked questions on my understanding of Capgemini and standard in depth competency questions based on my experience and degree. Once complete she then informed me that I will receive an update shortly on whether I will be attending an assessment centre. I was told I was successful a week later, which was very exciting.
From here on in, it was a downward spiral. Apart from a generic email inviting me to an insight event (which I traveled into London to attend), all communication came from me chasing for an update on my application. This involved an endless back and forth of confusing and badly written emails by the outsourced recruitment team. This process has been going on now for over 4 months and I am still receiving emails saying 'We have not heard anything from the business yet on the next Assessment center, once we do we will keep you updated'. A completely impersonal and disorganised process compared to the other consultancies running similar schemes. When I phoned the outsourced graduate recruitment line it just left me even more confused.
I have now received an apology from one of the UK based recruitment team saying that demand is high for places and assessment centres fill up quickly.
When applicants are putting in hours/days of their time for Capgemini, some form of communication or updates during the process would be both useful and professional.

The interview process consisted of an initial HR screening followed by a technical interview. The discussion focused on my articleship experience, accounting concepts, financial reporting, reconciliation, month-end close activities, Excel skills, and behavioural questions. The interviewer was professional and the overall process was smooth.

2 interviews, 1 behavioral, which was very casual just describing yourself, and the other technical, they give you a scenario and they ask you what would you do, for example how would you come up with a solution for a keeping track of cars in a parking lot
