If it would have been for an external candidate the interview process would have been more vigorous. Generally how the process goes for external candidates is a phone interview by the recruiter, then a phone interview by a manager, then multiple in-person interviews with various management. The questions are pretty standard if you do your research. It is a good idea to practice and do your research about interviewing. Also it is helpful to research the job role you are posting for and about the company. Smile and be nice, it is not just about your experience or knowledge but how you will potentially interact with other people in the work environment. Sometimes the recruiters have a tendency to take long to respond or communicate so don't be afraid to reach out to them in a professional manner.
