I was first contacted by a recruiter. The lady was professional and we dived deep into my background at the screening. I was referred for a phone interview with a hiring manager. The first question I was asked was whether I was ready for Christmas - an ice breaker, I get it. Even though a lot of people do not celebrate Christmas. The second question was whether I had any children. The hiring manager did say she was curious how many presents I had to wrap. I answered I had a six month old baby. The questions were easy, but I had a feeling the interviewer stopped listening to me and walked around her house mid interview. I found it unprofessional, I then received an automatic email notifying me they would not proceed further with me. I really want to believe it was not due to the fact I said I had a 6 month old baby, but part of me thinks that was the issue. The job was below my qualifications, but I was eager as the company has such fantastic reviews and the job sounded really good. Oh well.

Screen followed by 4-5 Interviews. Spoke with HR and was told that there would be 4-5 rounds of interviews afterwards. Interviews start with hiring manager and will go through to head of audit.

SOMPO's process typically has three rounds: an initial HR screening call, a virtual interview focused on skills and experience, after will have the behavior assessment, then a final interview with senior leadership before an offer. This will be done all in a call.
