I attended an assessment centre in London. After the assessment centre had already taken place, the company added an additional “final” stage (a live 30-minute case study) without making this clear in advance. This meant candidates who had already invested time and money travelling were then asked to do another interview step that was not communicated upfront. The call itself was framed as collaborative, but the main issue for me was the process management. Adding a new stage after the fact made the overall experience feel disorganised and like the assessment centre was not the final step it was presented as.
