A high level manager reached out via LinkedIn to offer an interview. They had clearly looked through my experience and projects and found them a good fit for their opportunities. The interview was with the manager that reached out initially, as well as the founder/president of the company. Discussion was free-form and natural, walking through past work experience and projects. There was never any explicit test of my technical skills or otherwise scripted questions. An offer soon followed and they provided ample time to ask questions and even consider an offer from a different company.
