Initial communication was established via email address provided to schools by previous intern. Hard to establish contact, i.e. took a long time to answer emails/return calls. After emails had been exchanged, one phone call basically landed the position. Then CSI flew me down to La Porte, Tx for walk-arounds, paperwork, official interview, etc.
